Better Together
Eric and I just got engaged on April 3rd, 2008. We had been dating for 5 years, 4 Months, 3 days, 2 hours and 1 minute prior to the proposal. It was romantic and creative…with far more detail than I am going to share. :) And of course I accepted. We have a lovely dog named Lola and live in Connecticut. This is a start to a new chapter in this wonderful life with many challenges ahead. I hope you enjoy the things I find wonderful on our path to the nuptials. Not everything I post here will relate to what we choose for our wedding. I hope that through my search for the perfect centerpiece, color combination, reception theme, etc. I may also provide creative resources for those of you who may also be heading down the isle. THE SETTING: A rustic-cool micro-spa with a candlelit vibe, located on the third floor of the Soho House.
THE OFFERINGS: Rent out the entire space for a “Pretty Party,” which includes champagne, two 30-minute “speedy” treatments per guest, and a sit-down dinner.
THE DETAILS: Pretty Parties can accommodate 8-12 people, and are held from 6pm to midnight, Monday to Thursday. Available to non-members who book a hotel room at the Soho House; $295 per person.

THE DETAILS: There is a $500 fee to rent the Freddy & Ma showroom and adjoining loft space, which can accommodate up to 50 guests; bags range from $85 for a clutch to $500 for a Bowler (hosts can pre-determine which kind of bags the guests will build). Bring your own catering.

THE SETTING: The sleekest mani-pedi salon in Manhattan.
